Information gathered as a result of our software vendor validation review will be used to populate AcronymIT’s asset register (AboveBoard TM). This information will then be accessible via a secure login to each individual client. The base information is used to provide renewal reminders and is the basis from which AcronymIT provides its SAM services. AboveBoard captures all the details and artefacts relating to a software asset throughout its lifecycle including licence details source of the software maintenance licence keys, licence certificates and maintenance applied to the asset and number and version entitlements. Importantly for our government clients, we track these assets through any Machinery of Government (MOG) changes for each client.
AboveBoard provides a complete audit trail of all licences, cross grades and upgrades as well as software maintenance contracts and renewal dates. AboveBoard can maintain configuration management for all software suites and the correlation and co-dependency between applications. AcronymIT automatically updates AboveBoard with all purchases made by any organisation sourced through AcronymIT. AcronymIT can add any software sourced from other sources to AboveBoard as part of our managed service. AboveBoard provides a single up-to-date reference source for all of an organisations’ assets and replaces the need to maintain individual software and hardware registers.
AcronymIT utilise a third-party software inventory tool to perform our software deployment and utilisation analysis. This software can be utilised for a one off review, can be purchased for internal onsite use (by our clients), or under a Software Managed Service via AcronymIT. Under the managed service, AcronymIT can now merge the AboveBoard software register with the software inventory tool results to provide real time compliance reporting.
